WHAT WE DO

Our Motivation. The idea.

"Akosiwa e.V." is a non-profit organisation that has been supporting music education in Kusuntu, a small village in Togo with around 7,500 inhabitants, since April 2024.

To this end, we collect discarded musical instruments and equipment from a music school in Germany and organise their transportation to Togo. In Kusuntu, our partner organisation, the "Ambition Jeunesse" association, founded a music club  (Youth Harmony Music School) in early 2024, which we actively support.

A German music teacher and conductor provides the project with online support. He is an expert in his field and has experience with educational projects in Africa.

The music club is open to all interested villagers. We also incorporate traditional instruments and singing to strengthen and preserve the local music culture.

A non-profit organisation that wants to make a difference needs committed members. We therefore cordially invite everyone to become an active or passive member or to support the music association in Kusuntu as a volunteer on site.

Music is in the air - small changes with a big impact

VISION:

Our vision is to give people the chance to develop their talent. In doing so, we strengthen their self-confidence and help them to overcome life's challenges more easily.

MISSION:

We offer people a perspective and at the same time encourage them to take responsibility for themselves. Our aim is to guide them from helplessness to discovering their own potential.

VALUES:

Our values are commitment, trust, community and enthusiasm.
